She decided that she would use her background in Secondary Education to expand the On the Job website to target students and their teachers from Years 5 - 10. This target group remained until 5 years ago. When showing Years 10 - 12 Teachers the website, they said that they would like to use it within their classes and thought that the activities were well suited to encourage their students in a range of subject areas. You will notice a different icon, At one stage, Frances collected over 19 thousand and reviewed over 12 thousand WebQuests [the Rich Thinking Task variety - rather than research assignments] in her hope that teachers would love these inquiry and project based activities and use them in their classrooms. See below for some examples that Frances created or developed. Frances continues to add new job profiles each week to OTJ and would be delighted to hear from teachers if they need any particular jobs researched for their students. Each day she learns more and is having fun! |
